Team As Support

The research is overwhelming. Group intelligence is higher than the smartest person in the group and the highest performing groups/teams are those that share a key characteristic: psychological safety and support.  Imagine, then, if support, kindness and generosity were at the center of a pedagogy in which the key instruction to students organized into permanent, semester-long teams is to find every possible way to support the other members of their team . . . .
